A stunning 40-second video captured Faten El-Helw obliviously dancing and waving to audience members during a Thursday night performance as a massive cat begins crouching in the screen’s corner.

A renowned lion trainer was attacked during a circus performance in Egypt, with the frightening pounce caught entirely on video.

In a 40-second clip uploaded to YouTube Friday, Faten El-Helw is seen dancing and waving to audience members in the city of Tanta when a massive cat, seen crouching in the screen’s corner, pounces.

The stunning Thursday night attack saw the trainer and circus owner wrapped in a mid-air bear hug before thrown to the ground.

Perhaps even more amazing, however, is El-Helw seen back on her feet and walking less than 15 seconds later with the help of a man.

El-Helw was taken to a hospital where she was reported by Ahram Online as being in stable condition.
