“This young male leopard was lying next to the road (H7, Kruger National Park) and sniffing the grass when I first laid eyes on him.
As I was taking pictures of Mr. beautiful, he looked me straight in the eye, got up and walked towards my car! That is the moment I decided to make a video.
Usually leopards are quite shy and would rather keep their distance, I was lucky he came to me and that I (and the car) were left unscratched.

This is just a short video of a Leopard trying to open a car door in Kruger National Park .Great Kruger Sighting for tourists. The video also illustrates why tourist should keep windows closed(rolled up) when approaching dangerous animals. American tourist Katherine Chappell was recently killed in an attack by a Lion in one of South Africa’s many Lion Parks.Her window was open(down) as she approached Lions in a Lion Park although there was numerous warnings against this practise. Guides and Rangers in Kruger have been involved in Leopard attacks on occasion before and recently again a Leopard attacked a Guide and bit on his arm while on a Game Drive in KNP. In the latest Leopard attack the Leopard had to be put down due to injuries sustained in the attack.
